What Makes a Title "Clickbait"?
The term "clickbait" often gets a bad reputation, but in its essence, it is simply high-performance copywriting. A great title bridges the gap between a user's current knowledge and their curiosity. This is known as the Information Gap.
The Science of High CTR
Our generator uses four primary psychological triggers:
- Negativity Bias: "Why you're doing [keyword] WRONG." Humans are hardwired to notice threats or mistakes faster than benefits.
- Specific Numbers: "7 Secrets about [keyword]..." Numbers provide structure and promise a quick read.
- The Cliffhanger: "I tried [keyword] for 30 days and THIS happened." It forces the user to click to find the resolution.
- Authority/Scarcity: "What experts won't tell you about [keyword]."
Is Clickbait bad for SEO?
Only if you don't deliver. If your title promises a "mind-blowing secret" but the content is generic, users will bounce, hurting your rankings. Use these titles to get the click, but ensure your content provides the value promised.
